One Soul in the Tree Our drive to Whitefish, Montana, from Canyon Village, Wyoming, a 466-mile diagonal endeavor through eastern Montana, was broken up by three Supercharging stops (West Yellowstone, Bozeman, and Butte) and a nice lunch meetup with ASU Alum Reece Jelson. Reece graduated with honors in Creative Writing at ASU. We caught up with each other’s lives over lunch at Finn & Porter in Missoula, Montana. Glacier National Park, Montana

Going-to-the-Sun The Going-to-the-Sun Road through Glacier National Park is among the most beautiful drives in the world. Open fully only in summer, the 50-mile road traverses lush forestland along the banks of Lake McDonald, rising steadily along glacier-carved mountain ranges streaked by cascading rivers of snow melt. The road crosses the Continental Divide to Logan Pass at 6,646 feet before diving down to Saint Mary Lake. It is a stunning, breathtaking experience. No picture does it justice. Off-The-Road Carbon Reduction Reducing greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere is the holy grail of addressing climate change. We absolutely must reduce our carbon to stave off the worst effects of human-caused climate change—effects that are already manifesting as measurable sea-level rise, increased wildfire activity, increased storm intensity, pest migrations, and rising average global temperatures, among other impacts.
